About Moto X3M Winter
Moto X3M Winter (also released as Moto X3M 4: Winter) is the Christmas edition of Madpuffers’ motocross stunt series. The formula is unchanged: short, timed obstacle tracks, a dirt bike and three stars to chase on every level. The scenery and traps are new, though: snowmen, candy canes, Christmas trees, icicles and sheets of ice that crack under your wheels. It’s a good pick for the holiday season, and a fair step up in difficulty if you have already beaten the original Moto X3M.
What’s different in the winter edition
The core loop is the same: ride from start to finish as fast as you can, and avoid landing on your rider’s head. The tracks lean heavily on winter set pieces. Breakable ice platforms give way if you linger. Air blowers push you mid-jump, rocket boosters send the bike flying, and on some sections spinning saws chase you down the track. Tracks are built around rolling snowballs, giant presents and swinging decorations, so timing matters as much as speed. There are 25 levels in total. As in the other games, the faster you finish a level, the more stars you earn, and stars unlock new levels and bikes.
Controls
- Up arrow / W: accelerate
- Down arrow / S: brake and reverse
- Left, Right arrows / A, D: lean back and forward to balance or flip (A lifts the front wheel, D the back)
Tips for icy tracks
- Don’t stop on cracked ice. Ice platforms are timed. Keep a steady speed across them rather than braking to line up the next jump.
- Use blowers, don’t fight them. When an air vent pushes you, lean so you land level. Fighting it with throttle usually ends in a flip onto your head.
- Flip only on big air. Each full rotation knocks time off your result. Save flips for long jumps where you have room to land on both wheels.
- Treat the first run as a scouting run. Many traps only trigger when you approach, like falling icicles or presents that drop from above. Learn where they are, then go for speed.
- Restart early. Checkpoints save your position but not your time. If the run goes wrong early, restarting the level is faster than limping to the end.
Where it fits in the series
Moto X3M Winter came after the original game and its two sequels. It was followed by Moto X3M Pool Party and Moto X3M Spooky Land. All share the same physics and controls, so you can jump between them freely. Getting three stars
Every track has three time targets, and the star screen at the end shows how close you came. The quickest way to improve is to replay a level straight away while the layout is fresh, rather than pushing on to the next one. Look for the places where you lost time: a hesitant approach to a ramp, a bad landing that cost speed, or a checkpoint respawn. Fix one of those per attempt. On the longer winter tracks, a single crash usually costs a star on its own, so a clean ride often beats an aggressive one with a fall. Once you know a track, add flips on the big jumps to shave off the last seconds.
Is it suitable for younger players?
Yes. There is no blood, the crashes are cartoonish and the controls are simple. The later levels can be frustrating, but the instant restarts keep the pace quick.
FAQ
Is Moto X3M Winter harder than the original?
Most players find it a bit harder. Ice platforms and air blowers add timing challenges that the first game doesn’t have.
Who made Moto X3M Winter?
Madpuffers, the same studio behind every Moto X3M game.
Do I need to play the earlier games first?
No. Each game stands alone and uses the same controls. Starting with the original is a gentler introduction, though.
